Seraphim CP features an 8" blade built from heavy-duty 3/16" 80CRV2 steel, ground with a robust edge for chopping and a slight recurve for slicing. The extended tang is designed for crushing/pounding.
Seraphim is the first of our survival bowies available in our new hamon heat treat option. The DawsonĀ hamonĀ is the visual representation of an elite, differentially-hardened heat treatment inspired by the master swordsmiths of ancient Japan. The dark area along the edge is the hardest (Rockwell C 63-64) part of the blade, and the lighter area on the flat and spine is tempered much softer (Rockwell C 20-25). This produces a superior blade with exceptional lateral strength, edge sharpness and retention, and impact shock resistance.
The Seraphim also features a custom fitted Carbon Fiber Kydex sheath, featuring horizontal, vertical, MOLLE and beltless carry options and more. Backed by an industry-leading warranty and over 50 years' knifemaking experience, Dawson knives are a stronghold of American quality and craftsmanship.Ā Ā
