Tokugawa | 20" Dawson Select Japanese Katana | Hamon | Arizona Ironwood

Tokugawa | 20" Dawson Select Japanese Katana | Hamon | Arizona Ironwood

The Tokugawa Wakizashi embodies the spirit of a warrior tempered in the fires of battle—not brash and foolhardy but experienced, restrained, and far too cunning to expose a blow before it finds its mark.

This heirloom sword features a traditional high-contrast hamon; a differential heat treat method inspired by ancient Japanese swordsmiths. It demands the highest level of skill from the craftsman, but yields a visually stunning blade that is also superior in strength and edge. The blade flows effortlessly into a CPM-MagnaCut steel oval tsuba with an Antiqued Black finish. A beautiful and resilientĀ Arizona Ironwood handle completes the piece, fastened with mosaic pins and overlaid with black cotton silk.

SPECS:
  • 100% designed and handcrafted in the USA
  • Hamon - Differential Heat Treat: AĀ hamon (åˆƒę–‡) is the visible, flame-hardened temper line on a traditionally crafted blade, marking the boundary between the hardened cutting edge and the softer, more flexible spineĀ
