The Tokugawa Wakizashi embodies the spirit of a warrior tempered in the fires of battleānot brash and foolhardy but experienced, restrained, and far too cunning to expose a blow before it finds its mark.
This heirloom sword features a traditional high-contrast hamon; a differential heat treat method inspired by ancient Japanese swordsmiths. It demands the highest level of skill from the craftsman, but yields a visually stunning blade that is also superior in strength and edge. The blade flows effortlessly into a CPM-MagnaCut steel oval tsuba with an Antiqued Black finish. A beautiful and resilientĀ Arizona Ironwood handle completes the piece, fastened with mosaic pins and overlaid with black cotton silk.
